CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
AOA (Active Older Adults): A group exercise class designed to meet the needs of the active older adult using a variety of fitness tools to enhance strength, balance, and flexibility.
BODY FIT: This class focuses on the fundamentals of toning, sculpting, and promoting muscular balance. Utilizing a variety of strength training tools such as hand weights, body bars, resistance bands and stability balls. The perfect setting to learn strength training basics and build muscle tone.
BODYFIT INTERVAL: An intermediate style strength training class that incorporates sports drills to boost heart rate and overall calorie burn.
HI/LOW CIRCUIT TRAINING: Interval style class consisting of cardiovascular training, strength training, and core conditioning. Great for all participant levels.
AB-SOLUTION: Using a variety of equipment, participants will be taught how to build and strengthen the core muscles (obliques, abs, and lower back).
HEALTHY BACK: A group exercise class designed to aid in the relief of back pain as well as prevents injury to the delicate muscles surrounding the spine. Using a series of stretching and strengthening exercises, this 30 minute class format will promote overall core wellness.
KARDIOKICK: A total body workout using punch/kick combinations choreographed to high-energy music. This high-impact class can be modified to keep it low for less stress on the joints.
SALSA STEP: Low-impact, high energy and pure fun! Learn salsa dance steps incorporated with step aerobic combinations that will take your heart rate to the next level of fitness.
PILATES: Mat work utilizing core muscles to lengthen, strengthen, and improve overall muscle tone.
STABILITY BALL: Get on the ball and get balanced! Using hand weights, resistance bands and body bars along with the exercise ball will help build core strength, improve posture and enhance muscle tone.
STEP CHALLENGE: Experienced steppers wanted! Combinations of high/low step patterns are choreographed to energetic music for the ultimate aerobic experience.
STEP & TONE: Reshape your body and build strength as you experience aerobic challenges on the step partnered with strength training intervals for a great workout.
YOGA: Enjoy the benefits of Hatha Yoga (yoga for your health) as you learn beginning breathing techniques and yoga postures. This class focuses on mind body awareness as you enhance you flexibility, strengthen your muscles and promote relaxation.
YOUTHFIT: Group fitness classes designed to meet the physical activity needs of youth age 8 - 14. Classes may include fitness games, dancing, and strength training using a variety of fitness tools.
JAZZ 101: Group fitness class composed of basic and intermediate dance moves. Class is low impact, builds on choreography, and guarantees fun!
FAMILY YOGA: Enjoy the benefits of Hatha Yoga with your family. Learn beginning breathing techniques and yoga postures. Great for flexibility, balance, and posture. Ages 8 & up.
YOGA FLOW: An energizing intermediate to Power Yoga class that will move (flow) from one posture into another. It will focus on muscle strength and flexibility, along with balance and endurance. The whole body will be worked as we include joint and back friendly squats, lunges, and abdominal poses. It will encourage mental awareness as well as relaxation.
